Dear Golfer,

Let me be the first to welcome you to the North Point Golf Club. After a couple years discovering the golf stories I want to share, I wanted to do something more. While reviewing courses is great and all, how could I make my work relatable to everyone? Pulling from my geology background, I found a motto. I was going to dig deeper...

History and Culture: Golf has an incredible way of drawing us in. Courses are living history books that give us a window to not just the game's past, but the world around us. At NPGC, we want to share the untold stories that give the best courses their character.

Understanding Design: Golf architecture plays a huge role in our rounds, whether we realize it or not. Everyone has their favorite courses/holes, but it can be hard to articulate just what makes a design "good". With NPGC, we want to help golfers learn to start to think critically about golf design.

Inspiring Land: Though I could lump this in with design, as a geologist I had to break it out! Some of the best courses are ones that are not only built on varied terrain, but ones that utilize it in a way that captures our attention. At NPGC, we want to share the courses that showcase their unique landscapes the best.

My goal with these focal points is to help dig out lessons that are applicable to the golf community as a whole, not just the local golfer. We want to highlight the stories and courses that exemplify the character of the game we all love, and we want you to join us.
